Liturgy in Divine Worship
Bishop Gbuji promoted the liturgy in divine worship by actively enhancing and localizing liturgical practices within the Catholic Church in Nigeria. He facilitated the translation of liturgical texts and prayers into local languages making worship more accessible to the faithful. He encouraged active participation in liturgical celebrations, fostering a deeper spiritual connection among the congregation.
Formation of Clergy
Bishop Gbuji promoted the formation of clergy through various initiatives and actions. He established St. Felix Minor Seminary, Ejeme-Aniogor to train future priests contributing to developing a well-educated clergy. Additionally, he founded the Emmaus School of Evangelization, offering training to priests, religious sisters, and laypersons in deepening their faith and sharing it with others.
New Evangelization Research and Ministry (NERAM)
Bishop Gbuji significantly promoted New Evangelization Research and Ministry (NERAM) through his visionary leadership and dedication to the Catholic Church. He established NERAM as a program within the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Godfrey Okoye University to deepen the faith of the faithful and equip them with knowledge and skills in the New Evangelization.
Formation of the Lay Persons for Evangelization
Bishop Gbuji promoted the formation of lay persons for evangelization through various initiatives. He established lay pious societies, sodalities, and schools to educate and train laypersons in faith and evangelization. He founded the Emmaus School of Evangelization, which teaches priests, religious sisters, and laypersons the skills and techniques of modern evangelization.

Bishop Gbuji promoted the family apostolate and pastoral care of the family in various ways. He initiated projects to strengthen family bonds within his dioceses, including establishing schools for educating children and young girls and creating programs for training priests, religious sisters, and laypeople.

He obtained a Doctorate in Canon Law and a license in Theology, indicating his deep commitment to these disciplines. He served in various roles throughout his career, including teaching at seminaries and establishing institutions like the Canon Law Society of Nigeria.
